Charlie, In The Field

Charlie works for me (doing all sorts of strange things including bringing coffee, making illustration photographs, prepping photographs for printing and running around in fields and ... other such odd things).

We actually set out on this day to make a specific photograph. Believe it or not the original plan was a desk, a lamp and a laptop in the middle of the prairie. Yes, we had a very good reason for that. No, we didn't get to that one.

By the time we were done the thrift store rounds we had a collection of things which had nothing whatsoever to do with desks and lamps and had run through a variety of ideas including a girl riding an old fashioned bicycle through the prairie, a tea party on the prairie and a haircut complete with barber's chair (on the prairie). Oh yes, I also have a new camel hair car coat and a pair of white gloves. Oh someday they'll come in handy. Surely.

The best pictures differentiate themselves by nuances...a tiny relationship - either a harmony or a disharmony - that creates a picture.
