Utata Goes To The Movies

Life is full of ironies, isn't it?

Since I wrote the book on photo blogging, I hardly have time to do my own photo blog! The ironies get deeper, I tell you. Most of my time is spent on the community photo blog / photography site which is also called Utata. (Yes, I should be horse whipped. At least for that.) I was just sitting down to write what I hope is a comprehensive column on Photo Blogging versus Photo Sharing (such as is done on flickr and other such sites) - wholly in favor of making sure that the photo blog survives and thrives and is seen for the wonderful folk art genre that I think it really is - and I realized that I have not updated here in a few days. And really, could I possibly write a longer sentence?

Been busy, busy. The reason?

We've (the Utata staff - those uber-cool kids) been crazy-busy getting the Movies Project (shown above) ready for publication, which happened today.

I've a grand scheme for integrating all the things I am trying to do into a workable schedule. Oh yah, I really do. Really. It's sort of slowly coming together. I just finished a book on digital portraiture, as I probably mentioned, and we've had some really excellent breakthroughs in what we're trying to do with Utata (explained in the first paragraph here) so, things are a little more manageable of late.

Thanks for sticking around :)

A photographer's reality is what he or she wants to show.
